Accessing Attribute Definitions without loading a module

I am wondering if anybody knows how to access the attribute definitions of a module without loading or opening the module.  Thus far I can only check to see if an attribute name exists within a module (is valid) by loading the module as seen below.  But when this is used in Layout DXL in multiple columns within a view it generates substantial lag.  Does anybody know of another way to do this?

Module m = null

AttrDef ad = null

for l in all(o<-linkModName) do
    {
        otherVersion = sourceVersion l
        otherMod = module(otherVersion)

        //check to see if the attribute name is valid for this linked module
        m = load(otherVersion, false)
        ad = find(m, lAttributeName)
        if(null ad)
            {
                display "Invalid Attribute name for " name(m) "\n"
                break
            }

            ...

What is your problem with opening the module -- seems like an easy solution to me.

As I mentioned above, it is the lag that is the problem.  Paging down a module with the load in the Layout DXL takes more than 45 seconds to refresh each page down; you can literally see each char displayed one at a time within each cell.  Remove the load and the page down takes less than 5 seconds.  Hence, can I access the attribute def's w/o loading/opening the module?

instead of doing the find try if(exists attribute lAttributeName ) display  lAttributeName " am here"

( I had similar problem of extra long load time in my users doors clients ... Solved by the restoration of the standard view as default view for all modules ! Then you can open your module to do what you need ;) )
